Katarina on the Impact of Receiving a Lotus Award
I am honored to be a recipient of the Lotus Award. After a personal loss seven months ago, this recognition holds incredible meaning for my family and me. The spirit of the Lotus Award—honoring compassion, resilience, and selfless service—resonates with my journey. To be acknowledged in this way is both humbling and affirming. The financial support attached to this award will make a real and immediate difference by easing burdens as I continue supporting my younger brother and creating stability as we rebuild. More than anything, this award reminds me that even during life’s most challenging moments, there is value in continuing to show up, to care, and to contribute. I hope to carry forward the spirit of this recognition in all that I do.
I am sincerely grateful for your support and for the meaningful work your foundation continues to do in recognizing unsung heroes.
