Lee Park Foundation Grants $10,000 Lotus Awards To Two Winners at The Brooklyn Hospital Center

Brooklyn, NY — October 26, 2026 — On October 14, the Lee Park Foundation recognized two healthcare professionals at The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC), presenting each with a $10,000 award:

• Kathleen Bryan, Critical Care Patient Care Assistant, who says, “My goal is to bring dignity, patience and a comforting presence to those I serve. Receiving this award ignites an even deeper sense of responsibility within me to advocate for my patients.”

• Sixtina Climer, RN, La Providencia Family Health Center, who says, “This award represents encouragement, perseverance and the importance of continuing to make a positive difference. I am humbled knowing that others have appreciated the care I strive to provide each day.”

Established in memory of Dr. Jang Ho Lee, a respected healer, teacher and practitioner of Buddhist doctrine, the Lotus Awards recognize nurses and clinical care professionals for their compassion, clinical excellence and selfless service to patients. In addition to a cash prize, the awards are distinguished by their eligibility criteria, which include both licensed nurses and clinical care staff.

“We are grateful to the Lee Park Foundation for these generous awards, which recognize the high-quality, compassionate care our exemplary staff delivers every day as we strive to Keep Brooklyn Healthy,” says Kimberly Volpe, DNP, MS, RN, NEA-BC, Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at TBHC.
